Beautiful Night in DC

We drove down to DC and met Sean at work; then headed to the Mall walking from the Capitol to the Ellipse behind the White House to see the National Christmas tree, all the State trees, and some unanticipated surprises.








I discovered it is near impossible to get a perfectly perpendicular shot of the Washington monument.


National Christmas tree; a new tree, the old tree blew over in a storm and the had the wood burning in a deep fire pit.

The Maryland tree was awesome, aquatic based ornaments.



Surprise! We got to see Santa in his workshop


He was a wonderful Santa!
