The Rest of January
M-ie's visit--slumber party!

Visiting Nanny, playing Go Fish!

At the Aquarium; Stella has a class here once a month and then we spend a little time in the exhibits.

Incredible urchin!

Off to gymnastics! (We're not allowed to take pictures in the gym)

Daddy playing Dungeons and Dragons with the girls.

Our end of January adventure--breaking down an hour from home. Turns out our gas gauge is faulty and we were out if gas :/
I made it 28 years without running out of gas, but the streak has ended.
Girls enjoyed a ride in a tow truck (thankfully a double cab!) and the car place had computers, so we even got some school work in!

The Birthdays
Balloon play, always a popular activity!

A quiet moment before blowing out the candle.

With all the young partiers--Cary and I had a combined birthday party.

Dance party!

Brunch with Uncle Kevin and Grandma Tina before they headed back to PA.

On my birthday, we visited a nature center and took a snowy hike.

M-ie arrived a few days later; she and I had a grown-up afternoon of a great brunch and an art museum visit.

Early January Highlights
Frosty First Day hike at Soldiers Delight Environmental Area.

A campfire at the end of a daycare day.

With friends AJ and Trey.

Watching birds at the feeder.

At Robinson Nature Center--Solar System class.

Math for breakfast--big girls making muffins! I have to keep one eye on them to make sure we don't end up with 1/2c of salt instead of a 1/2t...but mostly made on their own!

Lots of little snows...

Met an orphan starling at a local nature center.

Phenology Club (observing changes in nature over time), checking up on the tree we are following for a year. The buds are developing.
